Marco Silva urged the team to give their all in the final match and make the fans proud with an outstanding performance.

Although this match is no longer as crucial as initially anticipated at the start of the season, Fulham manager Marco Silva emphasized that the team still aspires to finish the season with a positive performance. Having only secured one point in their last three matches, the team has already missed out on European qualification for next season; however, a victory against Newcastle United could still see them finish in the top ten of the league.

Speaking about the importance of the final match, Marco Silva said: "It's crucial, and that's always our responsibility—to play at Craven Cottage, strive for victory, and make the fans proud. As expected, the team's morale definitely fluctuated after the loss to Bournemouth and the draw against Wolves. As an ambitious team and part of the coaching staff, including myself, we all feel regret and disappointment. But we must look at it from a holistic perspective, and I've been helping the players develop that understanding."

“We want to finish the season with a great performance and make the fans proud. In most cases, the fans should be pleased with the team’s progress from the past to the present. Although there are both positive and negative emotions at the moment, overall we have had a good season, it’s just a pity that we failed to qualify for European competition.”

"The gap in European qualification was actually very close, maybe only two or three points. If we had gotten three more points, this game would have been a true 'final.' Therefore, it's difficult to simply categorize this season as a 'success' or a 'failure,' and I don't agree with that binary division. Overall, it was a positive season, but failing to qualify for European competition is indeed regrettable. This also reflects the team's ambition and continued progress."

When asked about the team's remaining goals, Marco Silva said, "We still have goals, and that was the core focus of this week's training. We reviewed the game against Wolves and analyzed the missed opportunities, but then quickly shifted our focus to the next game."

“Newcastle United are level on points with us, only slightly ahead on goal difference. Winning their game would allow us to overtake them in the standings, which is our primary objective. In addition, we still have a chance to break into the top half of the league, which is rare for a club and is also an important driving force.”

“Even though qualifying for European competition is no longer a realistic goal, there are still many things worth striving for, including league ranking, points, player attitude, and giving a high-quality performance to repay the fans. We must show the level of competition we deserve at home and satisfy the fans.”
