Sheep Esports reported on Friday that German League of Legends club SK Gaming is reportedly interested in signing former Misa Korean-Swedish mid-laner Seo Yeo-bit (ID: SlowQ).
According to the report, SlowQ has agreed to play for SK Gaming during the LEC Summer Split, and both parties have already agreed on personal terms. The team is expected to officially announce his signing soon.
It is understood that SlowQ previously participated in trials with SK Gaming during their preparations for the Esports World Cup EMEA qualifiers, leaving a positive impression.
If all goes according to plan, SlowQ will replace LIDER as the starting mid-laner, who has been the team's starting mid-laner since the beginning of the year.
If the report is true, this means SlowQ will be making his LEC debut.
The 22-year-old player has made significant progress over the past few years, and his excellent performances in the ERL ecosystem have paid off.
Last year, SlowQ played for Karmine Corp Blue.
During this spell, he reached new heights in ERL tournaments, winning both the LFL and EMEA Masters Summer Split.
Afterwards, he joined Misa at the beginning of the year, showcasing a high level of performance in both the TCL and EMEA Masters.
However, the Turkish team ultimately finished third, failing to qualify for the Esports World Cup EMEA qualifiers. Subsequently, the team decided to disband almost all of its players, including SlowQ.
After leaving Misa, SlowQ participated in a trials with SK Gaming and played for the team.
His arrival brought stability to the League of Legends team, particularly in their victories against Team Heretics and their former team, Karmine Corp.
However, SK Gaming was subsequently defeated by Galions and unfortunately eliminated. Despite this, SK Gaming chose to retain the mid-laner, allowing him to continue competing in the remaining matches.
With SlowQ's permanent signing, SK Gaming will undoubtedly hope his arrival will help the team regain greater stability and avoid repeating their disappointing performance of failing to qualify for the playoffs in both the LEC Versus and the Spring Split.
LIDER joined SK Gaming earlier this year. At the time, he joined a team built around Mikyx, aiming to return to the top European leagues. Despite high expectations for the team, he ultimately failed to establish himself.
