David Moller Wolff: We hope to give fans more confidence and anticipation for the upcoming season.

David Moeller Wolff says he and his Wolves teammates hope to finish the tough season with a positive result this weekend, while laying the foundation for a fresh start next season. The Norwegian returned to the starting lineup against Fulham and put up a solid performance in the team's final home game of the season, helping Wolves secure a draw.

This Sunday, Wolves will play their final game of the 2025/26 season. With the team already embarking on a rebuilding process, David Moeller Wolff has expressed his hope that the team can finish the season with a victory and overtake Burnley in the standings.

When discussing the game's performance, David Moller Wolf said, "I think the team played pretty well overall. We created enough chances to win the game, but we needed to be calmer and more decisive in handling those opportunities. If we could have done that, we could have gotten three points."

“Last week’s game was very difficult, and the past few weeks have not been easy either, because we have been conceding goals due to some simple mistakes, and our set-piece defense has also been very problematic. Now the team must show the fighting spirit and character it deserves.”

Speaking about the team's support for head coach Rob Edwards, David Moller Wolff said, "We support him 100%. Since the coaching staff came here, both the head coach himself and the whole team have done an excellent job, and everyone gives them their full support."

“We should have won that game; a victory would have been a better way to end the season at home. But there’s still one game left in the season, and we don’t want to finish bottom of the league, so the game against Burnley will be crucial. We hope to overtake them in the standings.”

“It feels great to be back on the pitch. This period hasn’t been easy for me because my playing time hasn’t met my expectations. But I’ve kept training hard and doing everything I can to get back into the squad. I’m happy to have played 85 minutes, although I was a bit tired towards the end, given that I haven’t played many games recently. Overall, I’m satisfied with my performance.”

Speaking about the season finale away to Burnley, David Moeller Wolff said: "We hope to give the fans something to look forward to next season. Considering the whole season, getting a point on Sunday is a positive result. It would be very important if the team can go into next season with more positive feelings, because our goal is very clear : to return to the Premier League as soon as possible."
