BLG's AD carry player, Viper, returned to Korea for treatment of a hand injury.

Bilibili Gaming (BLG) esports club officially announced that its Korean AD carry player, Viper, has returned to South Korea for further examination and treatment due to a hand injury.

Viper will use the break between the end of the LPL second stage regular season and the start of the playoffs on May 29 to recover, and is expected to return to China before the playoffs resume.

BLG has demonstrated overwhelming dominance this season. They not only won the First Stand championship in the Winter Season, but also qualified for the playoffs as the top seed in the recently concluded regular season, leading second-place JDG by three wins. In the upcoming playoffs, BLG, as the first seed, will have the right to choose their opponent; the first match is scheduled for May 29th or 30th.

Viper, 25, is the 2021 World Championship winner and is widely recognized as one of the world's top AD carries. However, his nearly decade-long high-intensity professional career has also brought him health risks and injuries.

In fact, the health of top professional players is receiving increasing attention. At the end of last year, LPL players such as JackeyLove, Meiko, and TheShy missed the Winter Split due to health reasons.

Having been eliminated by WBG in the eSports World Cup qualifiers, BLG now only has one path left: winning the LPL second stage championship to secure a spot in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) to be held in South Korea in late June.
