In the summer of 2016, Guilbert was loaned back to Caen, with his ownership being permanently purchased the following summer.

On the 2019 winter transfer window deadline day, Guilbert joined Aston Villa for £5.5 million.

During his six-month spell at Villa, Guilbert helped the club avoid relegation and reached the Carabao Cup final once.

In January 2021, Guilbert was loaned-out to Strasbourg for a year and a half.

Upon returning from his loan spell at the following summer, Guilbert rejoined Aston Villa first-team, but he did not get any playing time.

In January 2023, Guilbert returned to Strasbourg as a free agent.

The following August, Guilbert joined Lecce as a free agent.

This January, Guilbert joined Nantes as a free agent.

Since joining Nantes, Guilbert has made 8 appearances for Les Canaris in all competitions, but has yet to score or assist.
