The Athletic reported on Thursday that a brawl has broke out among Real Madrid players.
According to the report, the incident stemmed from a conflict between captain Federico Valverde and France international defensive midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The two clashed for the second time during a recent training session. During the altercation, Aurélien Tchouaméni punched Valverde in the head, causing a concussion and some degree of brain injury.
Valverde was subsequently taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Real Madrid also announced that it has launched an internal hearing and disciplinary proceedings regarding the incident.
However, although The Athletic stated that it would not disclose the source of this explosive insider information to protect privacy, Valverde's agent is extremely unhappy, believing that the information may have been leaked by Tchouaméni's agent or close associates of his compatriots Kylian Mbappé or Eduardo Camavinga.
The report also added that defender Antonio Rüdiger had an inexplicable altercation with younger teammate Álvaro Carreras several months ago.
At the time, the Germany international suddenly slapped Álvaro Carreras during a training session.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid mouthpiece, Marca, even added that as many as six players had not spoken to interim head coach Álvaro Arbeloa for months due to their dissatisfaction with his tactical philosophy.
Including these reports, this is the third scandal that the La Liga giants have broke out recently.
L'Équipe also recently reported that Real Madrid's coaching staff was very unhappy with the attitude of France international striker Kylian Mbappé.
According to the report, the Real Madrid coaching staff was extremely unhappy with Mbappé's tendency to cause trouble within the team, especially his deliberate formation of cliques with French teammates like Camavinga and Tchouaméni, and his unserious attitude during training.
It is reported that he had several disagreements with Arbeloa over tactical philosophies, sometimes requiring intervention from teammates to break up the fights.
Furthermore, following the publication of this article by L'Équipe, fans launched an online petition demanding Real Madrid sell Mbappé as soon as possible.
By press time, the petition had garnered 30 million signatures, but it's worth mentioning that not all participants were true Real Madrid supporters. Reporters suspect that some were fans of rival teams seeking attention, while there might also be others who were supporting Brazil international striker Vinicius Junior, who has been linked to have disagreements with the player.
