Arsenal will offer their highly successful manager Mikel Arteta a top-tier, high-salary new contract.

After successfully leading Arsenal to the Premier League title, ending the club's 22-year wait for the league championship, manager Mikel Arteta will receive a very lucrative new contract from the club.

This new contract will significantly increase the salary of the 44-year-old Spanish coach, directly solidifying his status as one of the highest-paid football managers in the world.

Arteta took over the team in December 2019, and this title win makes him the second youngest Premier League manager in history to win the title, after Mourinho of Chelsea in 2005.

Negotiations regarding the contract extension were temporarily put on hold during the intense title race between Arsenal and Manchester City, but the two sides are expected to resume formal talks after the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain next Saturday.

It is understood that Arteta's current contract is worth approximately £10 million per season, plus a £5 million Champions League qualification bonus. The upcoming new contract offers a significant salary increase, with insiders predicting his annual salary will directly approach the top levels of Atletico Madrid manager Simeone (approximately £26 million) and Manchester City manager Guardiola (approximately £20 million).

With Guardiola set to leave after the end of this Premier League season, Arteta will naturally become the longest-serving manager in England's top four tiers of football.

While significantly increasing the salary of their successful manager to retain him, Arsenal's management has also pledged ample financial support in the transfer market. Although total spending this summer is not expected to reach the £250 million of last summer, the club has prepared sufficient budget to bring in strong reinforcements to further support Arteta's efforts to enhance the team's overall strength next season.
