May 5th - According to the Associated Press, the Chicago Bulls have officially appointed Bryson Graham as Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations. He will be fully responsible for the team's front-office affairs, initiating a new round of rebuilding.
Graham previously served as senior vice president of the Atlanta Hawks and spent 15 years with the New Orleans Pelicans, rising from intern to general manager and participating in the drafting of promising young stars such as Trey Murphy III, Herbert Jones, and Dyson Daniels.
The Bulls fired Andras Karnisovas and general manager Mark Eversley in April . The Bulls finished the season with a 31-51 record , ranking 12th in the Eastern Conference and missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. With Billy Donovan resigning as head coach, Graham now needs to assemble a new coaching staff.
In terms of roster, the team has two young core players, Josh Gidi and Matas Boozerlis, and holds multiple first-round picks and ample salary cap space, providing flexibility for their summer moves.
