Luke Shaw, unsure how to celebrate, said scoring at home was a very special feeling.

Manchester City defender Luke Shaw recently spoke about the feeling of scoring for the "Red Devils" at Old Trafford in an interview, and shared that he didn't know how to celebrate immediately after scoring, so he just ran around on the field.

In a key match of the 37th round of the Premier League, Luke Shaw scored just five minutes into the game, giving Manchester United a dream start. With goals from Cunha and Mbourneau later in the match, Manchester United ultimately defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Old Trafford.

After achieving an unbeaten run of 4 wins and 1 draw in the last 5 rounds, Manchester United are ranked 3rd in the standings with 68 points.

Luke Shaw, 30, said, "I don't actually score that many goals. I did score at Old Trafford, and that feeling is really hard to describe. When you score, you experience a very special emotion."

“I will always remember my first goal, especially since it was at Old Trafford. It was an incredible feeling, and because I didn’t score many goals, I didn’t know how to celebrate, so I just ran around like a madman.”

Luke Shaw, who previously played in Manchester United's youth academy, scored his first goal for Manchester United in the 2018/19 Premier League season against Leicester City.

Luke Shaw shared, "I remember doing a sliding knee celebration when I scored my first goal, and that was a really special feeling, especially scoring at home in front of the fans, which made everything even more wonderful."

When talking about his family, Luke Shaw said, "I'm usually very focused before the game. I've been lucky enough to walk onto the course with my kids as caddies, which was great, but usually I'm still completely focused on the game before it starts. However, it's really great to be able to see the kids after the game, especially after a win."

“They usually stay in the same spot, so I know where they are. I'll wave to them or something, and it feels very warm.”

Luke Shaw also said, "After a match, I usually do a recovery massage first. Sometimes I also go for an ice bath, and then I go home. I feel that my nightlife now is completely different from what it was 5 or 10 years ago."

“I have four children at home, so it’s very lively. I can’t do much else but play with them and enjoy happy times. Especially after winning a game, being able to share the joy with my children and family when I get home is a really special feeling.”

On the other hand, Manchester United will travel to Brighton for their final Premier League match of the season, and next season, the "Red Devils" will return to the Champions League after a long absence.
