Wimbledon and Yamael elbowed Reed, forcing him to leave the game early. The Spurs suffered a major blow in Game 4.

May 11th - A brawl broke out during Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Early in the second quarter, Spurs star Victor Wambanyama was double-teamed by Naz Reed and Jaden McDaniels after grabbing a rebound. Wambanyama then elbowed Reed in the neck, resulting in an offensive foul.

After reviewing the video replay, the referee upgraded the foul to a Flagrant Foul 2, and Wenbanyama was ejected immediately. The reason was excessive contact above the neck. This ruling resulted in the player's automatic ejection. The crowd chanted " Get him out !" repeatedly , instantly escalating the atmosphere of the game.

Reed then made both free throws, giving the Timberwolves a 38-34 lead. Wambanyama played only 13 minutes, scoring 4 points and grabbing 4 rebounds, while also accumulating 3 fouls.
