Counter Strike 2: br0 withdraws from the remainder of the Asia Championship due to unforeseen family issue, daps will be filling in for NRG as a stand-in..

American esports club NRG announced on Wednesday via its official Twitter account that rifler br0 has withdrawn from the remainder of the Counter Strike (CS) Asia Championship due to unforeseen family issue, and daps will be filling in as a stand-in.

With br0's sudden departure, this means daps will be playing for NRG again after six-month.

The 32-year-old legend, who has served as the team's head coach since 2024, last played as a stand-in for NRG at last year's StarLadder Budapest Major. However, the team performed poorly and was eliminated early in the group stage.

This sudden change presents a significant challenge for NRG, who have already entered the lower bracket of the tournament which is currently underway in Shanghai after a narrow defeat to Legacy the previous night.

NRG will face MOUZ this morning, but due to their poor performance against European opponents this season, the North American powerhouse's chances of winning the championship are slim.

Besides NRG, Liquid and M80 are also in the lower bracket.

M80 will face the winner between NRG and MOUZ, while Liquid will play against 3DMAX.

Over the past three months, br0's performance has been consistently solid. During this spell, he completed 34 maps with a personal rating of 1.03.

Following the adjustments made due to the recent unforeseen circumstances, NRG's current roster is as follows:

In-Game Leader / Entry Fragger: nitr0

AWP-er: oSee

AWP-er / Lurker: Sonic

Entry Fragger: Grim

Rifler (Stand-in) / Head Coach: daps
