Jaylen Brown refutes rumors of leaving the team and vows to stay in Boston.

In response to recent speculation about his future, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown gave a strong and heartfelt reply on Wednesday night.

Brown has made it clear that his love for Boston remains unchanged and he aspires to play there long-term. Previously, Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady hinted on a podcast that Brown harbored deep resentment towards the Celtics' management.

In response to these remarks, Brown stated on his Twitch livestream: "I hate that President Brad Stevens has to respond to this. I have a very good relationship with him, and if it were up to me, I could play in Boston for another 10 years."

Despite the Celtics' tumultuous 2025-26 season, marked by Jayson Tatum's serious injury and their eventual first-round loss to the 76ers, Brown insists it was his favorite season of his career.

Brown stated that while winning the championship in 2024 would be unparalleled, the team's cohesion during adversity and the collective growth among teammates this season have given him unprecedented satisfaction.

Brown showed no remorse for being fined $50,000 by the NBA for criticizing inconsistent refereeing and accusing opponents of flopping. He emphasized that he wasn't making excuses, but rather acting out of pure love for basketball: "You can keep fining me, but I really care about this damn game."

Brown is expected to sign a two-year, $141.9 million contract extension with the Celtics in July.
