Serie A – AC Milan defeat Torino 3-2 at home, with Pavlovic scoring and conceding a penalty.

In the 30th round of the 2025/26 Serie A season, AC Milan defeated Torino 3-2 at home. With this victory, they temporarily sit in second place with a record of 18 wins, 9 draws, and 3 losses, accumulating 63 points.

Torino's record is now 6 wins, 6 draws and 15 losses, and they are currently ranked 14th in Serie A with 33 points.

Torino attempted to take the initiative early on, but their attacks failed to find the net: In the 12th minute, Marcus Pedersen delivered a cross from the right wing, but Nicola Vlasic's sprint and shot missed the target. In the 15th minute, Rafael Obrador's corner from the right was headed over the bar by Giovanni Simeone at the far post. In the 29th minute, Gylfi Ginitis made a run down the middle before unleashing a shot, which was easily saved by Mike Maignon.

In the 36th minute, Adrian Rabiot's long-range shot was brilliantly saved by Alberto Pareri, but AC Milan began to besiege the opponent's penalty area. After a series of attacks, Milan finally broke the deadlock: Christian Pulisic's cross from the left caused Saul Coco to make a clearance error, and Strashinja Pavlovic, lurking outside the penalty area, seized the opportunity to fire a shot into the net.

Despite conceding a goal, Torino refused to give up and try to equalize. In the 38th minute, Genitis headed the ball across the box, and Duvan Zapata's low shot from the left side of the penalty area was saved by Maignan. In the 44th minute, Pedersen cut inside from the right and passed back to Vlasic, whose shot from the edge of the box was parried by Maignan. Simeone seized the opportunity and scored on the rebound, leveling the score before halftime.

The second half began with both sides switching ends. In the 54th minute, Pulisic crossed from the right side of the penalty area, and Rabiot finished to give Milan the lead. Just two minutes later, Zachary Atkame played a through ball forward, and Youssef Fofana slotted home inside the box. With Rabiot and Fofana scoring two goals in quick succession, AC Milan extended their lead to 3-1 just 11 minutes into the second half.

However, Torino continued their aggressive attack despite trailing by two goals. In the 67th minute, Genitis broke down the left flank and delivered a cross, which Simeone met with a powerful shot inside the box, but it was saved by Maignan. In the 79th minute, Simeone was brought down from behind by Pavlovic in the penalty area, earning a valuable penalty after VAR intervention. Vlasic then converted the penalty, pulling one back for Torino in the 83rd minute.

Neither side managed to score again. The match ended 3-2, with AC Milan and Torino tied.
