Carlos Colberán: This match is destined to be tough, but the team will fight tooth and nail to secure the victory.

Valencia manager Carlos Corberan stated clearly in the pre-match press conference before the game against Real Sociedad that the team's task this Sunday is very clear: to strive for victory in the away game.  

Carlos Colberán said: "We never start a game with the mindset of 'avoiding defeat,' but rather with a sense of responsibility and a winning mentality. There are two crucial games left in the season, and we must go to San Sebastián to fight for three points. We need to win, and we crave to win; that's our duty."  

"Our statistics in the first half of the season were somewhat inferior to those in the second half. We were more competitive in the second half of the season and were able to showcase what we wanted in some games. When we couldn't do that, we reflected on ourselves and accepted criticism from the outside world. Overall, we were able to control the game and play to our strengths more often in the second half of the season compared to the first half."  

"The team's focus is entirely on the next game. I will communicate the analysis results of each game to the team so that the players understand the areas that need improvement and adjustment. The next game will be very difficult, but also crucial."  

When discussing the issue of starting lineup rotation, Carlos Colberlin said: "Starting lineup selection depends not only on tactical ideas, but also on player form, opponent characteristics, schedule, and injury situation. Sometimes you want to continue with the same lineup, but due to physical limitations, it is not always feasible."  

“I have faith in all the players and I recognize the ability of this squad. There are still 6 points left in the league to fight for, and we hope to finish the season in a more ideal way. The competition throughout the season has been extremely fierce, with very small gaps between the teams. It can be said that the battle for European qualification has become more open, but the cost of staying in the league is equally high. Many details ultimately influenced the outcome, and we encountered some problems in maintaining the pace of the game, which also affected the course of the season.”  

Speaking about Real Sociedad, Carlos Colberán said, "They are a very strong team. Although their performance in the first half of the season was not satisfactory, they clearly improved in the second half and won a trophy. This match is destined to be very difficult, as they also have players who previously played for Valencia."  

“We will give it our all, but I won’t set overly high expectations beforehand, because expectations can sometimes be unrealistic. Reality will ultimately provide the answer. This season has been very tough, and we need maturity, perseverance, and resilience. We will fight tooth and nail for three-pointers; that’s crucial for us.”
