The three MVP candidates have been announced: Wimbledon, Yamaz, Jokic, and Alexander are vying for the grand prize.

May 17th - The NBA officially confirmed that this season's Most Valuable Player ( MVP ) will be announced on Sunday. The timing, coinciding with the day before Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, further amplifies the award's popularity.

The three finalists are Shai Gilgeous -Alexander, Victor Wimbledonama, and Nikola Jokic, including the current MVP , as well as rising superstars and historically great centers.

The league will announce the results via Amazon Prime Video's pre-game program at 7:30 p.m. local time on Sunday . This year's MVP award will continue the NBA's " international player dominance " trend ; if a non-US player wins again, it will be the eighth consecutive season an international player has been selected.
