Chengdu AG Super Play defeated Shanghai EDG.M 4-1, successfully advancing to the next stage of the competition.

In the D2 stage of the 2026 Honor of Kings Challenger Cup double-elimination tournament, Chengdu AG Super Play defeated Shanghai EDG.M 4-1, winning the series and advancing to a higher stage. Throughout the match, AG demonstrated more stable operational capabilities and team fight execution, maintaining firm control of the game's tempo in crucial moments.  

In the fifth game, Chengdu AG Super Play's mid-lane player Changsheng (Xie Chengjun) delivered an outstanding performance with Mai Shiranui, earning the MVP award for his numerous crucial team fight initiations and precise crowd control. As a key player in the team's rhythm, Changsheng's continuous brilliant plays in mid-to-late game team fights laid the foundation for Chengdu AG Super Play's ultimate victory.

Throughout the match, AG demonstrated a more stable operational rhythm and team fight execution, firmly grasping the initiative in key rounds.  

In the fifth game, Chengdu AG Super Play's mid-lane player Changsheng (Xie Chengjun) delivered a stellar performance with Mai Shiranui, earning the MVP award for his crucial initiations and precise crowd control. As a key player in the team's rhythm, Changsheng's continuous plays in mid-to-late game team fights laid the foundation for AG's victory.  

In the early stages of the match, Shanghai EDG.M found an opportunity first. Within 3 minutes, EDG.M successfully focused fire and killed Shiranui Mai, establishing a good early game rhythm. Then, at 4 minutes, they successfully secured the first Tyrant, further expanding their early resource advantage and attempting to suppress AG's development space through map control.  

However, just five minutes in, Chengdu AG Super Play quickly launched a counterattack. Changsheng's Shiranui Mai capitalized on the opponent's positioning mistake, delivering a crucial control move that helped his team secure a 3-for-0 team fight victory and subsequently push down the mid-lane tower. From then on, AG gradually took control of the game's tempo, continuously expanding their advantage through superior strategy and pushes.  

Seven minutes into the game, AG continued to pressure EDG.M, causing them to lose players frequently. With their numerical advantage, they forcefully pushed down the top lane high ground, further restricting the opponent's movement space. As the economic gap widened, EDG.M began to be forced into a passive defensive posture, while AG firmly controlled the initiative on the field.  

The decisive moment came at the 10-minute mark, when Changsheng's Shiranui Mai used a flash to deliver a crucial first-strike control, and Zhongyi (Chen Jiahao)'s Fei quickly followed up with damage, completing a triple kill. After wiping out their opponents in one team fight, Chengdu AG Super Play used the minion wave to directly destroy the crystal, successfully winning the fifth game and defeating Shanghai EDG.M 4-1, thus advancing to the next round.
