Manager Fabian Schürlzer has extended his contract with Brighton until 2029.

Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion officially announced today that they have signed a new three-year contract with men’s first team manager Fabian Hurzeler, who will remain in his position until June 2029.

Chairman Tony Bloom spoke highly of Schürlzer's contributions. Since joining in the summer of 2024, Schürlzer led the team to an eighth-place finish in his first season and has continued to demonstrate strong team resilience and tactical control this season.

Bloom noted: "Fabian has not only continued the club's progress, but has also developed a clear playing style whose principles are perfectly aligned with the club's values."

After signing the contract extension, Schürrle expressed his deep affection for the club and the city of Brighton. He stated, "It is an honor to receive this long-term commitment. From day one in charge, our focus has been on shaping the team's identity and challenging the existing football order."

Schulzeller emphasized that this new covenant will further inspire his pursuit of excellence: "I am proud of the present and even more excited about the future."

The 33-year-old Schürzel, who led St. Pauli back to the Bundesliga, combines the rigor of his time as an assistant coach for the German national team's youth academy with the practical experience honed in grassroots leagues. CEO Paul Barber praised him for his outstanding leadership and work ethic, calling him a highly promising manager in the entire Premier League.

With three league games remaining, Brighton are pushing for a higher ranking. This long-term contract signing undoubtedly gives the team a significant boost.
