Bayern Munich defeated Union Berlin; Kompany stated that Gnabry is an underrated player.

With goals from Olise, Gnabry, and Kane, Bayern Munich secured a resounding 4-0 victory over Union Berlin in a key match of the 27th round of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Head coach Kompany expressed his delight at Gnabry's performance and also believes the striker is an underrated player.

In the final stages of the first half, Olise and Gnabry scored to give Bayern Munich a 2-0 lead over Union Berlin. In the 49th minute of the second half, Kane received a pass from Laimer and slotted home to extend Bayern Munich's lead to 3-0.

In the 68th minute, Olise's attack was cleared, and Gnabry scored. Ultimately, Bayern Munich secured a 4-0 victory over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena. With four wins and one draw in their last five matches, Bayern Munich currently sits atop the league table with 70 points, nine points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany said, "We got off to a great start and controlled the game from start to finish. But we can't ignore the fact that it took some time before we scored the first goal. During that period, Union Berlin's defense was excellent, and that deserves credit."

“We then showed our strength, but scoring four goals is not a given. One of our great strengths is that different players always step up in attack, and hopefully we can continue this performance. In this game, it was Gnabry's turn to shine, and I am very happy for him because he is one of the most underrated players.”

Serge Gnabry, who helped Bayern Munich win, said, "I didn't start in the previous two games, so I probably had a lot of energy saved up. I wanted to perform at my best and prove myself again. Luckily, we did. The longer we play together, the better we understand each other. After a year and a half under the manager's leadership, the team's tactical principles have become increasingly clear."

“Everyone is very clear about their role. That’s why the team works well no matter how we rotate players. We don’t really think about records during the game. But of course we would be happy if we could break a record, and we would see how high we can go in the end. We have scored 97 goals, which is incredible.”

In addition, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane said, "I took the toughest chances but missed the easier ones, which is what strikers face, but the most important thing is that we won the game. We've had two tough matches against Union Berlin this season, so winning and continuing the momentum is very important."
