Kevin Durant has officially surpassed Michael Jordan in total regular season points, taking sole possession of fifth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

In this game, Durant scored 27 points. With less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Durant drained a three-pointer from the right corner.

With this basket swishing through the net, Durant's career total points reached 32,294, officially surpassing Jordan's record by a mere two points. After the basket, Durant briefly raised his arms in celebration, sending the home crowd into a frenzy as the entire arena rose to their feet to cheer and pay tribute to this legendary breakthrough.

Before surpassing Jordan, Durant had already surpassed two legendary players this season: Wilt Chamberlain and Dirk Nowitzki. As a four-time scoring champion and two-time Finals MVP, Durant's next target will be Kobe Bryant, who ranks fourth all-time with 33,643 points.

Despite surpassing his idol's achievements, Durant remained remarkably calm after the game. He described Jordan as a god-like figure who perfectly embodied faith, but emphasized that he wouldn't let that stop him.
