League of Legends: Top Esports (TES) jungler Yang Zijian (ID: naiyou) handed lifetime ban after being found guilty of match-fixing..


The LPL announced via its official Weibo account that jungler Yang Zijian (ID: naiyou) of Shanghai esports club Top Esports (TES)' League of Legends division, has been found guilty of match-fixing and banned for life.


According to the LPL's official statement, Zijian admitted to manipulating every lost Winter Playoff Split match, seriously violating Articles 12.1.1 and 13.1.1 of the League of Legends professional League playbook.


Given the seriousness of the situation, Zijian will be banned for life, effective immediately. His eligibility for official honours will be revoked, and he is prohibited from participating in any professional or semi-professional League of Legends tournaments organized by Tencent, Riot Games, and Tencent Esports in any region or region worldwide, effective immediately.


Subsequently, Top Esports also issued an official statement confirming the termination of their partnership with Zijian, effective immediately, and permanently barring him from future employment.


All of Zijian's outstanding salary, prize money, and team benefits will be deducted, and the club reserves the right to pursue legal action for breach of contract and economic losses.


As part of the chain reaction, former Weibo Esports (WBG) jungler Gao Tianliang (ID: Tian) will return to the team as the starting jungler after a year and a half.


Top Esports (TES) also said that it will conduct special anti-match-fixing education and improve personnel management, event monitoring, and risk assessment mechanisms to prevent similar incidents from happening again.


The club also maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of match-fixing or illegal manipulation of matches, holding those responsible strictly accountable and showing zero leniency.


TES reiterated that fair competition is the lifeline of the competition, and any behaviour that violates the rules or harms the interests of the industry and viewers will be subject to the most severe punishment, resolutely safeguarding the purity and fairness of the competition.


The controversy surrounding this incident happened during the LPL Winter Playoffs loser's bracket match held on March 2, 2026.


In the match where TES unfortunately lost 2-3 to Weibo Esports (WBG), Zijian's multiple suspicious and abnormal actions aroused the management's suspicion.


Following the match, Top Esports (TES) immediately launched an internal investigation and discovered that Zijian had engaged in serious misconduct that affected the fairness of the competition.
