Official announcement: MOUZ has renewed contracts with coach sycrone and assistant coach Xyp9x.

European CS2 team MOUZ announced on Wednesday that they have extended the contracts of Dennis Nilsson (ID: sycrone) and Andreas Hoysles (ID: Xyp9x), effective immediately. As is customary, neither side disclosed the length of the extension or specific details.

Sycrone, 30, is from Denmark and was promoted to head coach of MOUZ NXT in January 2022. His compatriot and peer, Xyp9x, officially joined MOUZ in March 2024 as an assistant coach.

Led by sycrone and Xyp9x, MOUZ has won a total of 407 maps to date, securing titles in ESL Pro League Season 18, ESL Pro League Season 19, the BB Villa Cup Belgrade in 2024, and the PGL CFR Napoca in 2025. They are currently ranked third in the world and second globally in the VRS rankings.

Following the contract extension, MOUZ CEO Stefan Winter stated, "Dennis has been with MOUZ for nearly five years, and he perfectly embodies our long-term development philosophy. He has grown alongside the system we've built, from establishing our youth training system to leading our main teams on various stages. His growth reflects the strength of our system. His continued presence in our roster is crucial for our continued pursuit of championship titles."

MOUZ Chief Commercial Officer Jan Dominiques added, “We are delighted that Dennis and Andreas continue to work with us. In my opinion, Dennis is the most well-rounded head coach in CS2, while Andreas possesses unparalleled analytical depth and experience. Having one of the greatest players in history mentoring our young players is undoubtedly a valuable asset to our team.”

Sycrone concluded, “I look forward to continuing to grow on the foundation we’ve built together. As a team, we’ve demonstrated incredible consistency over the past three years. We’ve consistently ranked in the top ten in the world, and for most of that time, we’ve been in the top five, an achievement that only a select few elite teams can attain.”

"Hopefully, as time goes on, discussions about the team will focus more on our depth of understanding of CS2, the quality of our work, and the level we are building, rather than prematurely focusing on the young players who are still developing, both technically and personally."

"We will work closely with the coaching staff to refine every detail to reach the level required to continuously compete for the highest honors."
