Adam Walton: Although it's a bit of a shame we didn't win, the feeling of scoring a goal was still fantastic.

Adam Walton joked that he might try some "outrageous shots" in the future. However, he also admitted that such attempts were fine, because it was precisely this less-than-perfect shot that earned him his first goal for Crystal Palace.

In the 2-2 draw against Brentford, the England international scored early in the second half, his low shot finding the back of goal under Brentford goalkeeper Claude Kelleher. He followed the goal with a wildly popular backflip celebration.

Although this shot wasn't his cleanest attempt since joining Crystal Palace, it was his first truly converted goal. While Brentford later equalized, resulting in a 2-2 draw, Adam Walton's goal added a highlight to his excellent performance. He and the equally impressive Daichi Kamada controlled the game's tempo in midfield for much of the match.

After the match, Adam Walton said, "I'm really happy to finally see this moment. It's a bit of a shame we didn't win in the end, but it feels great to score. Maybe I should have scored earlier, and I had a lot of chances before. This was probably the worst shot I've ever taken, but it went in, so I accept the result."

“I might continue to try shots that look ‘not ideal’ in the future, hoping they can still score. But overall, it was a good performance. We’ve played a lot of games and are definitely a bit tired, but we’re still proud to face a team that’s vying for European qualification. A draw isn’t bad; what’s more important now is the overall performance, especially with the European final so close.”

Speaking about the final match of the season against Arsenal, he added: "We won't decide the title next week. We've already played 37 games this season. We still have one league game to play, and the European final is just a few days away. We won't think about stopping our opponents from winning the title; that's not our task. We'll just focus on ourselves and make sure we're in the right shape for the upcoming matches."
