Romanian tournament organizer PGL officially announced on Saturday that it will begin awarding medals to the winning team starting with the 2026 PGL Astana tournament. Subsequently, all players and coaches who win PGL championships will receive this honor.

According to the official statement, this new rule also applies to PGL events that concluded in 2026. This means that PGL will need to reissue medals to Vitality and FUT, the champions of the PGL Cluj-Napoca and PGL Bucharest events, respectively.

Before PGL announced the decision, the final matchups for this year's PGL Astana tournament had already been determined: Spirit and Falcons both defeated their opponents 2-0 to advance to the grand finals.

According to the schedule, the two teams will face off in a best-of-five (BO5) final at 9:00 AM local time on Sunday. Before that, MOUZ and magic, who were defeated by Spirit and Falcons respectively, will compete for third place.

As for the winner's prize, PGL has already made arrangements. According to the rules, in addition to a medal and trophy, the champion of this tournament will also take home a huge prize of $512,000.
