CS2: Degster discusses his reasons for leaving Spirit, citing low salary and the fact that other companies are willing to offer him five times the salary to poach him.

Each player has their own reasons for leaving the team. Perhaps it's limited potential, discord with teammates, or a lack of room to perform. The desire to transition to a new career path leads to their choice. Saying goodbye is regrettable, but if a better job opportunity allows them to take their skills to another level, that's a transformation. Their comfort zone is a thing of the past.

Recently, degster openly discussed the details of his departure from Spirit. Whenever a big name leaves a team and doesn't come forward to explain, conspiracy theories abound online. He said that this idea came to him after the 2022 PGL Antwerp Major. It wasn't exactly a trigger, but the team asked him to settle in Serbia. Spending ten months a year away from his hometown would definitely make him feel uncomfortable.

He added that the problem wasn't about the country itself, but rather that he had to cover the rent for two apartments, which his salary simply couldn't afford. The commute between the two places was fulfilling, but the house in his hometown, which wasn't his own asset, had huge expenses, leaving him with no choice but to leave. Degster declined to disclose his salary, the only person he knew was his teammate flameZ. At the time, flameZ was on a top-tier team, earning a high salary, which was $5,000 less than his own as a top 10 player. Later, facing roster restructuring, they couldn't maintain their top-ten ranking, and their prize money shrank accordingly.

Insufficient salary is one of the reasons. When the idea of leaving the team got out, many teams offered to recruit him with five times the current salary. How could he not be tempted?
