sidde: FURIA is trying to persuade FalleN to postpone his retirement decision.

FURIA coach Sidney Macedo (ID: sidde) recently revealed that they are trying to persuade Brazilian CS legend Gabriel Toledo (ID: FalleN) to postpone his retirement decision.

As a legendary figure in the CS scene, 34-year-old FalleN has led numerous teams, including Complexity, FireGamers, KaBuM, Keyd Stars, Luminosity, SK, MIBR, Liquid, Last Dance, and Imperial, to international acclaim. He has played for FURIA since 2023, serving as the team's in-game leader on 568 maps and participating in 12,527 rounds, achieving an average rating of 0.98. He helped the team win championships at the 2023 Elisa Masters, FISSURE Season 2, the 2025 Thunderpick World Championship, the 2025 IEM Chengdu, and BLAST Season 2.

In April of this year, FalleN officially announced his retirement at IEM Rio. He is expected to have his "final dance" at the PGL Singapore Major, which will be held from November 25 to December 13, before ending his 23-year professional career.

Nevertheless, the entire FURIA team remains committed to changing FalleN's retirement plans. Sidde stated, "Whenever he talks about retirement or sets a timetable for it, we do everything we can to postpone that moment. We will also continue to try to persuade him to continue competing next year, although it is his own decision and is essentially irreversible."

"Whenever FalleN mentions retirement, his teammates try to persuade him to continue playing. It's hard to imagine what the team would be like without FalleN. Of course, a roster transition will happen sooner or later, but that's definitely not what we want."

While trying to change FalleN's decision, FURIA has also begun preparing for the roster transition. Sidde admitted in an interview: "FalleN will leave the team at the end of this year, but we are already considering the transition. I cannot reveal specific candidates at the moment because many things can change at any time. We will not sign anyone for the time being, but are just looking for candidates and building a relevant shortlist. We are working on this."
