Chongqing Wolves defeated Hangzhou LGD.NBW 4-1, winning the match smoothly.

In the D8 match of the 2026 Honor of Kings Challenger Cup double-elimination tournament, Chongqing Wolves defeated Hangzhou LGD.NBW 4-1, securing a series victory. Throughout the match, Wolves demonstrated excellent tempo control and team fight execution in crucial moments, gradually expanding their advantage through sustained pressure and ultimately winning the game.  

The MVP of the fifth game was awarded to Wanwan (Du Yuanhang) of the Chongqing Wolves for his performance as Tachibana Ukyo. Throughout the game, he participated in numerous crucial kills and coordinated plays, becoming one of the key players in the team's continued expansion of their advantage and snowballing their lead.  

Just 50 seconds into the game, Chongqing Wolves' Daozai (Yang Kaibo) accurately hit a key target with Baili Shouyue, cooperating with his teammates to quickly kill Dayu, helping the team secure the first blood and establish an early advantage. However, in the 4th minute of the game, Hangzhou LGD.NBW stabilized the rhythm in time, successfully controlling the first small Tyrant, briefly stabilizing the situation.  

In the mid-game, both sides fiercely contested key resource points. At 9 minutes and 30 seconds, Jiuwei (Xu Xinzhen) used Haiyue to make a crucial initiation and kill Xiang Yu, resulting in a one-for-one exchange. However, Wolf Team Xin (Gou Hongxin)'s Zhang Fei decisively initiated a team fight, successfully holding off multiple opponents and helping his team achieve a three-for-one team fight victory, gradually expanding their advantage.  

Wolves then entered a strong operational phase. At 10 minutes, the team firmly controlled the Shadow Tyrant and continuously suppressed the opponent's rhythm through sustained operations. At 11 minutes and 11 minutes and 40 seconds, Wolves successively took down the mid-lane tower and the Shadow Lord, further strengthening their control of the minion waves and their initiative in team fights, gradually putting Hangzhou LGD.NBW on the defensive.  

As the match entered its final stages, the Chongqing Wolves secured a crucial kill on Guan Yu at 12 minutes and 30 seconds. They then controlled the Shadow Tyrant again at 14 minutes and continued their push, successfully destroying the bottom and mid-lane high ground towers. Finally, at 15 minutes and 10 seconds, Zi Huan (Huang Guangshun) used Chang'e to achieve a critical kill, instantly eliminating Chi Tu. The Wolves then wiped out the enemy team and destroyed the crystal, ending the match 4-1 and advancing to the next round.
