Nexus has officially abandoned its localization strategy and is instead building an international lineup.

Romanian CS2 powerhouse Nexus announced on Tuesday that its new international roster has been completed. After more than a decade of focusing on building a local team, the team is now officially turning to an international strategy.

This adjustment stems from Nexus's consistently poor performance over the past two years: in 2025, they were ranked close to the top 20 in the VRS rankings, but by March 2026, they had fallen out of the top 100. Shortly before the official announcement of the roster changes, Nexus also achieved a disappointing 21-24th place finish in DraculaN Season 6.

Nexus has retained two Romanian players in its new roster: 23-year-old rifler Alexandru Stefan (ID: s0und) and 24-year-old instructor Mihai Kostach (ID: fNk). Both joined the team earlier this year and have personal average ratings of 1.07 and 0.94 respectively.

As for its other three new international players, they are 24-year-old Sébastien Sabadin (ID: SBT) from France, whose career rating is only 0.93; Belgian rifler Bram Campana (ID: Nexius) who previously played for MOUZ NXT, OG and Nemesis, whose career rating is 1.03; and 9INE sniper Roberts Tipsis (ID: shield) from Latvia, whose career rating is 1.08.

Regarding this adjustment, Nexus posted on the X platform: "For the past ten years, we have adhered to an all-Romanian roster and achieved brilliant results on this basis, building a strong team and promoting many talents to the international stage. Now, it is time for the international arena to give back to us."

After a series of personnel adjustments, the Nexus starting lineup has been finalized as follows:
