Kevin Akpoguma, Ihlas Bebou, and Grischa Prömel to leave Hoffenheim at the end of the season..

Hoffenheim announced on their official website on Saturday that Nigeria international defender Kevin Akpoguma, Togo international forward Ihlas Bebou, and German midfielder Grischa Prömel will leave the club at the end of this season after their contracts expire.

According to Hoffenheim's official statement, the club expressed its gratitude to the three players for their contributions and efforts during their long tenure with the team, and wished them all the best for the future.

Furthermore, the club will hold a farewell ceremony for the three players after their final Bundesliga home game of the season against Werder Bremen on Saturday.

About Kevin Akpoguma

The 31-year-old Kevin Akpoguma was born on April 19, 1995, in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany. He is 1.92 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a left-back or right-back. He holds dual German and Nigerian citizenship.

Akpoguma joined Karlsruhe's youth academy in 2007, began playing for their reserve team in 2010, and completed his Karlsruhe first-team debut in November 2012 at the age of 17.

The following July, Akpoguma moved to Hoffenheim for €500,000.

During his spell, he was also briefly loaned-out to Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hannover 96.

In his 13-year stint at Hoffenheim, so far, Akpoguma has made 201 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists.

About Ihlas Bebou

The 32-year-old Ihlas Bebou was born on April 23, 1994, in Sokodé, Togo. He is 1.85 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward, but can also play as a left or right winger. He holds dual Togolese and German citizenship.

Bebou played for the youth academies of several German non-league clubs during his childhood. He joined Fortuna Düsseldorf's youth academy in 2011 and completed his Fortuna Düsseldorf first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September 2013.

On the 2017 summer transfer window deadline day, Bebou moved to Hannover 96 for €4.5 million.

In the summer of 2019, Bebou moved to Hoffenheim for €8.5 million.

Since joining Hoffenheim, so far, Bebou has made 176 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 37 goals and providing 25 assists.

About Grischa Prömel

Grischa Prömel, 31 years old, was born on January 9, 1995, in Stuttgart, Germany. He is 1.80 meters tall and primarily plays as a center midfielder, but can also play as a defensive midfielder or attacking midfielder.

Prömel played for the youth academy of his hometown club, Stuttgarter Kickers, as a child. He joined Hoffenheim's youth academy in 2013 and began playing for their reserve team the following year.

After his contract expired in the summer of 2015, Prömel joined Karlsruhe as a free agent, where he would complete his Karlsruhe his first-team debut in August of the same year.

After his contract expired in the summer of 2017, Prömel joined Union Berlin as a free agent.

During his five-year spell with the Die Eisernen, Prömel played with the team in the Europa League for one season.

After his contract expired in the summer of 2022, Prömel returned to Hoffenheim as a free agent.

Since returning to Hoffenheim, so far, Prömel has made 85 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 8 assists.
