João Pedro believes the team's fighting spirit has always been there, but the key is finding a way to perform consistently.

João Pedro stated that he and his Chelsea teammates must quickly regain their form and find consistency in the final four matches of the season. Previously, the team suffered a disappointing 1-3 defeat at Stamford Bridge against Nottingham Forest. João Pedro scored the team's only goal, and the goal was quite spectacular.

Trailing by three goals, two of those goals came within the first 15 minutes. Near the end of the match, the 24-year-old received a header pass from Marc Cucurella and unleashed a spectacular bicycle kick that nestled into the top corner.

This was the Brazilian player's 20th goal in his first season at Chelsea, but unfortunately, it was only a consolation as it came in the 93rd minute.

This defeat was a stark contrast to last weekend's, when the team fought back to beat Leeds United and advance to the FA Cup final. João Pedro stated that Chelsea must maintain their consistency for the remainder of the season. He said, "We need to improve, everyone needs to step up, including me."

“We’ve been communicating with each other and trying to find ways to win. We beat Leeds United last week, but not this week, and we need to find a way to maintain consistency. I think the team’s motivation is always there, and we still need to give our all for every point and every game, and eventually we’ll see how high we can go.”

João Pedro admitted that conceding two goals within the first 15 minutes put Chelsea on the back foot, and he said these mistakes must be corrected. Pedro stated, "We conceded too early from the start, which made a comeback very difficult. We need to find a way to avoid repeating the same mistakes in every game."

"That's the Premier League. If you concede a goal early in the game, it becomes very difficult. Everyone needs to reflect on their own performance, including myself, and find ways to improve. I feel sorry for the fans, and we need to examine what aspects we can do better."

“I just wanted to help the team. It was a good goal, but I would be much happier now if I could get three points in return. It’s not good enough. We have to change the current situation.”
