Premier League – Chelsea suffered their sixth consecutive defeat, losing 1-3 to Nottingham Forest.

The 35th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season saw another key match, with Chelsea, playing at Stamford Bridge, losing 1-3 to Nottingham Forest after João Pedro scored from behind.

Just two minutes into the match, Dylan Bakwa dribbled past his defender and chipped the ball into the box from the right wing, where Awoniyi headed it in, giving Nottingham Forest a dream start of 1-0. In the 10th minute, Enzo received the ball outside the box and unleashed a long-range shot, but it was blocked by an opposing player.

In the 11th minute, Chelsea continued their counter-attack. João Pedro passed the ball back from the penalty area, and Enzo stepped up to shoot, but the ball hit the post.

In the 12th minute, Gusto pulled down Awoniyi in the penalty area, and after VAR intervention, the referee awarded Nottingham Forest a penalty. Igor Jesus then converted the penalty, giving Nottingham Forest a 2-0 lead over Chelsea.

In the 25th minute, Gusto delivered a cross from the right wing, and Jesse Derry volleyed the ball, but it went high. In the 33rd minute, Igor Jesus received a pass from James McCarty and shot, but Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made the save.

In the 36th minute, Nottingham Forest attacked from a corner kick. James McCarty took a shot, but the ball hit a teammate and went wide.

In the 63rd minute, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was injured when he collided head-on with Gibbs White while rushing out of the goal. Chelsea then substituted him with Philipp Jorgensen.

In the 73rd minute, Gusto chipped the ball into the penalty area, and João Pedro received Cucurella's cross and fired a low shot, but it was blocked by Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mats Sels. João Pedro then headed the ball into the net, but after VAR intervention, it was ruled offside, and the goal was disallowed.

In the 85th minute, Enzo passed the ball to Palmer, who unleashed a long-range shot, but it was caught by Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mats Sels. In stoppage time of the second half, Cucurella headed the ball across, and João Pedro controlled it before scoring with a bicycle kick, pulling Chelsea back to 1-3.

Chelsea ultimately lost 1-3 at home to Nottingham Forest. After suffering their sixth consecutive defeat, Chelsea currently sits in 9th place in the league table with 48 points.
