Ukrainian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Passion UA announced on Saturday via their official X (Twitter) account that former Complexity Entry Fragger FaNg will stand-in for Senzu at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Rio.
According to Passion UA's official statement, as an invited representative from North America, the team had to make roster changes due to ESL rules requiring each team to have more than one player from North America on their current active roster.
FaNg will be standing-in at IEM Rio until the end of the tournament.
During this period, Senzu will be unable to participate in the tournament because he does not meet ESL rule 2.7.3 rules – which states that "multiple players with citizenship in the relevant subregion".
Passion UA previously had two American players – nicx (Rifler) and Grim (Entry Fragger).
However, Grim transferred to NRG last month.
With this move to Passion UA, FaNg will reunite with his former teammate, In-Game Leader JT, and head coach T.c.
