Hamburg announced on their official website on Friday that they have signed Hungary U19s international striker wonderkid Andrej Vasiljević from MTK Budapest.

According to the Bundesliga club's official statement, Vasiljević has signed on a long-term contract with the club and will officially become a member of the club this summer (July 1st).

About Andrej Vasiljević

Andrija Vasiljević, who is only still 16 years old, was born on March 25, 2010, in Hungary. He is 1.91 meters tall, plays as a center forward, and holds dual Hungarian and Serbian citizenship. His father, Dušan, is a former Serbian player who lived in Hungary and played for Energie Cottbus, playing as an attacking midfielder.

Vasiljević joined Vasas' youth academy at the age of 9, then transferred to MTK Budapest's youth academy in 2023, and began playing for MTK Budapest's U19s team in January 2026.

During this time, his performances at the Hungarian NB 1 club earned him a place in the Hungarian U19s national team.
