Stuttgart Director: Hannus's mandatory buyout clause has officially taken effect.

Stuttgart's sporting director Fabian Volgmuth confirmed on Wednesday that the club has officially bought out Leicester City's loan signing of attacking midfielder Bilal Hannus. The 21-year-old Hannus will continue playing for Stuttgart after this summer, with a contract running until June 30, 2030.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Hannus' buyout fee was approximately €18.5 million. Bild also reports that Hannus' personal terms are tied to his performance, with his annual salary, including bonuses, potentially reaching €3 million.

In an exclusive interview with Bild, Volgmuth confirmed the above report: "Yes, Bilal's mandatory buyout clause has indeed taken effect. I can confirm that. All conditions have been met. We are delighted that Bilal can remain in Stuttgart permanently."

Hannus arrived on loan from Leicester City last September and quickly filled the void left by Enzo Milott's departure. To date, he has made 33 appearances for Stuttgart, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists, helping the team to a current third-placed position in the Bundesliga with 53 points (16 wins, 5 draws, 6 losses).

For Hannus, this season has undoubtedly been the most successful of his career to date. He also had his moments of glory at the national team level, one of the highlights being reaching the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco.
