Schürrle praised Brighton's intensity on the pitch after their dramatic victory over Liverpool.

Brighton defeated Liverpool 2-1 in a key Premier League match of Round 31, thanks to a brace from Danny Welbeck. Manager André Schürrle said he was pleased with the intensity his team displayed on the pitch and believed it was key to the victory.

In the 14th minute, Diego Gomez headed the ball across the goal, and Welbeck headed it in to give Brighton a 1-0 lead. In the 30th minute, Dunk made a mistake on his back pass, and Kelkez Milos intercepted the ball and chipped it into the net to level the score at 1-1 for Liverpool.

In the 56th minute of the second half, Hinschelwood crossed the ball, and Welbeck slotted it home, giving Brighton a 2-1 lead. Ultimately, Brighton secured a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at home. With this second consecutive win, Brighton currently sits in 10th place in the league table with 43 points.

Brighton manager André Schürlzer said, "I really liked the intensity we showed on the pitch, and I think that was the key to winning. We pressed high, played with great intensity, had good overall energy, and created a lot of chances, especially in the second half. I'm very happy with the players' performance; they all tried to run more and fight harder than their opponents."

“We played well before, and now we handle crucial moments even better. We try to stay calm, stick to our principles, and not overreact at certain moments. After Liverpool scored, we remained calm and united, and then I saw a very excellent team on the pitch, which I think is an important quality for winning Premier League games.”

Schürlzer also stated, "When a team achieves success and builds good relationships, then the players shine and are rewarded. But first, they must play well as a whole, and that's what they're doing right now."

"Welbeck is not just about scoring goals; he's also in excellent form, has built great chemistry with his teammates, and fosters a strong sense of team cohesion. I believe he can help any team in the world, including English teams."
