Metizport has officially confirmed that in-game leader Jackinho has been relegated to the bench.

European CS2 team Metizport announced on Saturday that 27-year-old Jack Strom Mattson (ID: Jackinho) has been relegated to the bench. The official announcement also confirmed that he will not participate in the upcoming ROG JOURNEY Spring Championship in Stockholm.

Jackinho first joined Metizport in 2023, serving as their in-game leader for over a year. He has also played for several CS teams, including NAEGT, Property, nerdRage, visomvet, Prima, Fnatic, Young Ninjas, Coalesce, Lilmix, and CPH Wolves, before rejoining Metizport in July 2025.

According to HLTV statistics, Jackinho has played 161 maps and participated in 3516 rounds since returning to Metizport, with an average personal rating of 0.92. He also reached the finals with his team in the 2025 Swedish Cup, the 2026 De_Airport Masters, and the first season of the BC.Game Masters, but unfortunately missed out on the championship each time.

Regarding the decision to demote Jackinho, Jackinho's sporting director, Morten Wallan Christensen, explained: "Given the current situation and timeline, we believe now is the right time to begin preparing for next season. Making this decision now allows us more time to develop the team and optimize its organizational structure and tactics. Throughout the process, both sides have maintained equal consultation and mutual respect."
