Former Los Ratones ace support player Rekkles announced during a livestream on Tuesday that he plans to try playing ADC and coaching in 2027.
Rekkles said that he will continue to compete with his current team, Witchcraft, and will continue to provide solo streaming for several League of Legends tournaments.
He also mentioned that he is currently co-streaming on the First Stand tournament in São Paulo, Brazil, and plans to travel to South Korea from May 4th to June 15th to host a training camp.
While in South Korea, he will also co-stream on the Mid-Season Invitational in Daejeon, and then take a vacation there.
Regarding his current plans, Rekkles explained that co-streaming on League of Legends tournaments allows him to focus on "the overall development of League of Legends esports" for most of the year, which will help him in his decision to pursue coaching next year.
Rekkles will turn 30 in the winter of 2027, entering a rare age group in today's professional esports ecosystem. However, he consistently appeared very aggressive and ready to compete at the highest level.
Recently, Rekkles and three former Los Ratones players formed their own team, Witchcraft, to compete in the EMEA Masters Winter tournament.
During the tournament, Witchcraft was placed in Group D but lost twice to G2 NORD, failing to qualify for the playoffs.
