Fiorentina announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have terminated the contract of Ghana international right-wing back Tariq Lamptey.
According to Fiorentina's official statement, this decision was made after mutual consent between the two parties. The club expressed its gratitude for Lamptey's contributions to the team and wished him all the best for the future.
Lamptey joined Fiorentina in the summer of 2025 for €6 million. Previously, in a match against Como in September 2025, he suffered a serious leg injury while starting the match and was forced to be substituted in the 22nd minute.
Subsequently, the Serie A club's medical staff examined his injury and confirmed that Lamptey had torn his anterior cruciate ligament, ending his season prematurely.
