The mage whose strength has risen later, the lone wolf in the T0.5 tier is Chang'e. This season there have been some changes. After all, she is a mid laner that is not popular in high-level games. Players who are good at her pay great attention to details. After the changes, it is difficult to get used to her in a short time, which caused her win rate to drop sharply. It took some time before she returned to her original strength.
T0.5: Chang'e, Haiyue, Da Qiao
This data shows that the biggest weakness of main characters is when the developers randomly pick heroes. If things go well, it's fine, but don't make things difficult for those who delve into the gameplay and truly understand the use of the passive "Moonlight Power." Once that's achieved, the win rate recovers to around 53.3%. However, the low pick rate reveals her difficulty—around 6.5%. She's really not fun to play; she relies heavily on awareness and team composition. Picking her first makes her vulnerable to being countered. A slight misstep can drop her to the T3 tier.
The rest are Haiyue and Da Qiao, both above average in strength. Haiyue is vulnerable to front-line and flexible lineups. With three crescent moons, her output is limited. Her core gameplay is to pull people into the illusion for a one-on-one duel or to capture key figures to delay time for teammates to kill others. Similarly, her small skills are useful, but become ineffective in the late game. Her output environment is extremely unpredictable. Generally speaking, mages in this tier are very famous. These two are neither popular nor unpopular, and they are not seen in low-ranked matches. They are also not suitable for playing in peak matches below 1800 points.
T1: Yuanliu Mage, Diaochan, Zhen Ji
The selection of the three Yuanliu mages has sparked discussion throughout the community, with many criticizing them as overpowered and the best-performing class among the five classes, boasting a 53.5% win rate. They were nerfed in mid-April, with reduced control duration to make combos easier to counter, forcing them to be downgraded. In mid-to-high ranks, peak matches, and battlegrounds where top players clash, Yuanliu mages have a place to shine, whether it's crowd control or using vision control to instantly kill opponents – all are combat styles they excel at.
Second on the list is Diao Chan, a semi-tank build, comparable to warriors and assassins, one of the three giants of true damage, her strength should not be underestimated, her win rate has secretly risen to 52.3%, although the tier is not high, she is in the top five in the mid lane, carrying teleport greatly improves the efficiency of support, pushing lanes to make up for the economy, going head-to-head with warriors, Holy Grail mage tank, she is really evil.
Zhen Ji was reluctantly added, but the so-called peak of Ice Pillar is gone. Her performance was poor, and her win rate dropped below 49%. There's no way around it; the S43 version is too fast and doesn't allow for slow wave clearing. She has a water ball that can easily cause a freezing effect when placed on hero units, but if it's placed on minions, it takes a long time to auto-attack.
