Rob Edwards hopes the team will maintain their fighting spirit in their final away game and prepare for next season.

Rob Edwards expressed his satisfaction with the team's positive performance at Molineux's home ground against Fulham and his determination to put the club in a better position before their first home game of the season. Matthäus Mane's powerful shot gave Wolves an ideal start, and although Fulham equalized through a penalty, the home side dominated for most of the game but lacked the finishing touch to convert their chances into a victory.

The head coach stated that he understands the fans' disappointment with the team's poor performance this season, but he believes that many people at Molineux Stadium also understand the team's current situation. He also pointed out that his current focus is on leading the team through a complete rebuild during the offseason.

After the match, Rob Edwards said: "I think it was a good response to last week's game, and we started much better than last week. We scored early, which was very positive. But in the last 10 to 15 minutes of the first half, we may have retreated a bit too far, perhaps because after taking the lead we started thinking about holding on to the score, which is not what we wanted to see."

“We put some pressure on our opponents and conceded a penalty as a result. But I think we put the game back under pressure in the second half. The team played aggressively, pressed high a lot, and created many threatening chances, but we just couldn’t capitalize on them.”

"The situation is very difficult right now, and this problem has been going on for a long time. We are trying to squeeze everything we can from every game, but some players can handle the pressure better than others. We are trying to field a team that can withstand the pressure and is willing to fight."

"Many people understand our current situation, and this game demonstrated that well. We had many good plays in the final stages of the game, and perhaps some people saw our efforts, but we just couldn't put the ball in the goal. We know where we need to improve and we know the goals we must achieve."

“After the game, I walked around the pitch, and most people can understand the situation. But I also completely understand the fans’ disappointment, anger, and frustration. What they see is the club’s gradual decline over the past few years, which is understandable. All we can do is continue to work hard, have a good summer, and have a better start to next season. I hope everyone can see our efforts and continue to support us.”

Speaking about summer plans, Rob Edwards said, "We hope to start next season better. That's both a goal and a challenge, and a task we must accomplish. We've been working hard to stay competitive as much as possible right now. But there's still one game to play, and we must focus on the task at hand."

"At the same time, a lot of work is already underway to ensure we can make the necessary changes next season, because the problems are obvious and we are looking forward to a comprehensive overhaul and adjustments. This season has certainly been tough, but that's exactly what we anticipated before we came here."

“When we took over, the team was in a very difficult position, having not won for a long time, so we knew it was a huge challenge. We now hope to be part of helping the team out of this predicament. Our overall performance in the last 10 home games has been pretty good, and we hope to continue to show our fighting spirit in the last away game and then go all out for the start of next season.”
