Anunoby has recovered well from his injury and has fully returned to Knicks training.

New York Knicks starting forward OG Anunoby participated in the team's full practice again on Saturday.

Anunoby revealed that the right hamstring injury he suffered in this year's playoffs was significantly less severe than the left hamstring strain he suffered two years ago (in 2024) in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Anunoby was injured late in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers on May 6, and subsequently missed the final two games of the series.

Anunoby has officially resumed training this week and has participated fully in the past two days. Anunoby said that he felt a brief, strange pain when he was injured, and although he tried to continue despite the injury, he is currently feeling well and is gradually improving his injury through daily rehabilitation.

With the Knicks already advancing to the next round, and the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons set to play a Game 7, the Eastern Conference Finals have been postponed to Tuesday. This gives Anunoby ample time to rest and recover, and he has stated that he has resumed sprinting drills on the court.

In this year's playoffs, Anunoby averaged 21.4 points per game with a field goal percentage of 61.9%, and was also the team's defensive anchor. His health was crucial to the Knicks' path to the playoffs.

Although head coach Mike Brown has not yet finalized whether Anunoby will be able to play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, he is pleased with the good form Anunoby has shown in practice.
