Anunoby has completed training and is expected to return for the Eastern Conference Finals.
2026-05-16 12:23May 16 - According to the Associated Press, New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby has completed the full practice session. This is his first full practice since his hamstring injury, bringing him one step closer to a return to play.
OG Anunoby strained his right hamstring in the fourth quarter of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the 76ers , subsequently missing the final two games of the series. When the team resumed practice, Anunoby could only participate in some activities, but in Friday's practice, he was able to participate in the full intensity of the game.
Head coach Mike Brown stated that Anunoby completed all practice sessions that day and is recovering very positively. The Knicks are currently awaiting their Eastern Conference Finals opponent. If the Cavaliers-Pistons series ends in Game 6, New York will host the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday; if it goes to a Game 7, Anunoby will have more time to recover.
So far in this season's playoffs, Anunoby has averaged 21.4 points per game with a field goal percentage of 61.9% and a three-point percentage of 53.8% .
