Callum McFarlane emphasized that as long as the team maintains its good form, it has the ability to defeat any opponent.

Chelsea manager Callum McFarlane has stated that he believes his team is capable of beating any opponent when in form. He hopes the team's aggressive preparations this week will give Chelsea their best chance of defeating Manchester City in the upcoming FA Cup final.

It has been five years since Chelsea last defeated Manchester City, during which time the two sides have met 14 times. That victory came in the Champions League final in Porto, and this Saturday's domestic top-flight cup final at Wembley Stadium will be a golden opportunity for Chelsea to end that losing streak.

Callum McFarlane is confident in his team and believes Chelsea are ready for the challenge. Ahead of the final, the interim manager emphasized the standard the team needs to meet. He said, "The players believe they can beat any opponent, and we know that only by playing at our best can we achieve that."

"Manchester City is a very good team. They have an excellent coaching staff and strong players, so this game will undoubtedly be very difficult. But we also have excellent players, and they have proven that they can beat any opponent when they play at their best."

Some might argue that the team needs special preparations given the importance of the FA Cup final, but Callum McFarlane says that's not the case this week at the Cobham training ground. He and the Chelsea coaching staff maintained their usual training rhythm, hoping to help the players manage pre-match tension and excitement.

Callum McFarlane added: “Our daily workflow will remain unchanged, whether it's team meetings or individual conversations with players, it will proceed as usual. We will try to stay calm and strive to show the same level of play as we did against Leeds United and Liverpool. Of course, this is a very important game, and that cannot be ignored. We are all eager to win.”
