After Real Madrid's disappointing exit from the La Liga title race, manager Álvaro Arbeloa shared his key insights on team morale and the form of star striker Kylian Mbappé at the pre-match press conference before the game against Oviedo.
Arbeloa emphasized that although the league title race is already decided, the team must defend Real Madrid's crest with the highest professional standards in the remaining three matches.
Regarding questions about whether Mbappe would play on Thursday night, Arbeloa gave a positive signal. He stated, "We'll see if he can complete the rest of the training. If he's available, he'll definitely get playing time and have the opportunity to continue demonstrating his commitment to the club in the remaining matches."
"Despite carrying four yellow cards, he will still try his best to play well, whether by scoring goals or showing loyalty. As a coach, and especially as a Real Madrid fan, this is exactly what I want to see."
In the interview, Arbeloa further discussed the players' commitment to the club, firmly believing that his players have given their all. He said, "I can't imagine Real Madrid players not giving their all for the club, otherwise I simply don't know where they stand."
“This club is the best in the world, and it is an honor to stay here for those who wear this crest on their chests every day. Those of us who have left know what it feels like to be away from Real Madrid. Players will be remembered for their entire lives for being Real Madrid players, and years later they will be talked about as Real Madrid legends or Champions League winners.”
Arbeloa reiterated the core values of the Real Madrid spirit. He believes that while countless great players throughout history have helped forge Real Madrid's legend, the platform itself holds a far deeper significance for individuals. He remarked, "As I often say, I think Real Madrid has done more for us than anyone else could have done for this club."
