Kerr will continue to coach the Golden State Warriors after reaching a two-year contract extension agreement. May 10th - According to ESPN, Steve Kerr has agreed to a two-year contract with the Golden State Warriors to continue coaching the team. The new contract will keep Kerr as the highest-paid head coach in the NBA, having earned $17.5 million last season.

The Warriors finished the season with a 37-45 record, during which they suffered numerous injuries, including Jimmy Butler's season-ending injury in January and Stephen Curry's 27-game absence due to a right knee injury.

 

The 60 -year-old Steve Kerr has led the Warriors to four NBA championships and six NBA Finals appearances since taking over in 2014 , including five consecutive Finals appearances from 2015 to 2019. His career coaching record is 604 wins and 353 losses in the regular season and 104 wins and 48 losses in the playoffs .
