Emi Buendía: This victory was fantastic, and we deserved this result.

In the UEFA Europa League semi-final, Emmy Buendía calmly converted a crucial penalty at Villa Park. With the aggregate score tied 1-1, the Argentine player successfully converted the penalty to give his team the lead, and they maintained control of the game throughout, ultimately winning 4-0.  

Emy Buendia's goal perfectly capped off his outstanding performance, having previously provided an assist for the team's opening goal, ultimately helping Aston Villa advance to the final in Istanbul.  

After the match, he said: "I took responsibility. This was one of the most important penalties for the club in recent years. I didn't feel any pressure at the time, I was very calm, and I knew what I had to do, which was to help the team. After that, the team continued to fight hard, maintain high pressing, and keep pushing forward. We were eager to win more victories, and in the end, we achieved an amazing result."

Aston Villa will face Freiburg at Besiktas Park on Wednesday, May 20th, in a highly anticipated match. This game presents an opportunity for the club to secure their second European trophy and their first major honor since 1996.  

Emmy Buendia added: “Winning a trophy would mean a lot for a club with such a long history. We know the fans are very eager for this honor, and we will fight for it with everything we have. It’s a final, and we must be fully prepared while continuing our momentum in the Premier League.”
