Rayo Vallecano completes contract extension witrh French defender Florian Lejeune..


Rayo Vallecano announced on their official website on Monday that they have extended the contract of their French defender Florian Lejeune.


According to Rayo Vallecano's official statement, Lejeune has signed a new two-year short-term contract, expiring in the summer of 2028.


About Florian Lejeune


The 34-year-old Florian Lejeune was born on May 20, 1991, in Paris, France. He is 1.91 meters tall and plays as a center-back.


Lejeune joined a renowned football academy in Paris at the age of seven. However, starting from the following year onwards, he successively played for several non-league clubs' youth academies. In 2008, he joined Agde, where he would complete his Agde first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in April of the following year.


In the summer of 2009, Lejeune was signed by Istres after a trial. During his two years there, Lejeune's outstanding performances attracted the attention of several major European clubs.


In July 2011, Lejeune joined Villarreal for €1 million.

Since becoming a member of Rayito, Lejeune has made 157 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists, and helping the team to a surprising run to the UEFA Conference League semi-finals once.
