Chelsea interim manager McFarlane: Another tough battle is needed against Sunderland away.

This will also be Chelsea's interim manager Callum McFarlane's last match in charge of the team. At the pre-match press conference in Cobham, McFarlane urged his players to show the same fighting spirit they displayed in their previous victory against Tottenham, and to give it their all in the final moments.

McFarlane is excited about the decisive match and also speaks highly of his opponents. He said, "It's going to be a great game, and both teams need to win. Sunderland have had a fantastic season; they are a very good and challenging team and will give us real trouble."

"Therefore, we need to redouble our efforts and fight hard in the next big game to get three points and improve our ranking in the standings. We are fully capable of winning the game away from home, but we must also play at our best."

Looking back at Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Tottenham, McFarlane praised the team's resilience despite both physical and mental fatigue. With several key players having just played in a cup final and spent considerable time on the pitch, the team's energy waned after taking a two-goal lead, and the game subsequently became a positional battle relying on tenacity in defense.

McFarlane stated that while it wasn't the ideal match, he was very satisfied with the players' fighting spirit. Facing Sunderland in a similar situation, McFarlane emphasized that Chelsea must show the same determination and perseverance at the Stadium of Light to fight for this final victory.
