Carlos Colberán: Only through comprehensive analysis and continuous optimization can the team regain the trust of its fans.

After Valencia's 3-1 victory over Barcelona, head coach Carlos Colberán attended the post-match press conference and reviewed and summarized the team's final match of the season.

Speaking about the match, Carlos Colberán said: "I am not satisfied with the result, and the players and coaching staff feel the same way. We entered the final round with a strong desire to win, but ultimately failed to achieve our goal. The team gave it their all, but unfortunately, the result still depends on other matches, so we are disappointed."

“We are all aware of Valencia's status and the high standards that come with it. Valencia's ambition must always be at the highest level, and all players and staff must give their all to bring this club back to its peak.”

"The first half of the season was the most difficult period for Valencia. The team played at least to the level of a top-four team in the second half of the season, but due to the lack of consistency throughout the season, we ended up in different rankings. The regret at the end of the season mainly stemmed from the poor performance in the first half."

When discussing the difference in performance between the first and second halves of the season, Carlos Colberán said, "This is a core issue that Valencia must deeply examine, as the answer will directly affect the club's future direction. This is not a superficial interpretation, but a problem that needs to be seriously addressed. I take responsibility for not leading the team to its best performance in the first half of the season. We must systematically analyze, accurately judge, and continuously improve in order to regain the trust of the fans, which is also the key to success."

"If the Financial Fair Play regulations allow for a gap of €100 million, it would be a significant boost and help us aim for higher goals, but I don't have the specifics. It's a crucial variable, but the responsibility of leading Valencia to the top remains undeniable. If we fail to achieve our goals, it won't be due to a lack of will, but rather because we, as the coaching staff and the team as a whole, haven't done enough."

"At Valencia, the pressure is always there, and I felt it when I first arrived last year. The lack of stability is regrettable, and it's the biggest disappointment of this season. I completely understand the fans' dissatisfaction, because the history and status of this club do not allow for any excuses when results are not ideal."

"The league is extremely competitive, with teams of very similar overall level. Matches are often decided by details. Many teams are evenly matched, but we lacked control over key details, which ultimately led to our failure to achieve our goal."

"The team showed a good level in the second half of the season. The arrival of winter transfers and the positive contributions of existing players significantly enhanced the team's overall competitiveness. Even so, we are still not satisfied with the performance in some games. The real lessons to be learned come from the second half of the season, not the first half. This needs to be carefully analyzed because the team clearly did not meet expectations, and the coach must take corresponding responsibility."
