Vitor Pereira admitted that the opponents' pace and intensity were very high, and the team needed to be fully prepared to meet the challenge.

In the final match of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Vitor Pereira hopes Nottingham Forest can enjoy the game at the City Stadium and defeat Bournemouth to end the season with a victory. The team is aware that a win would move them up to 15th in the standings and extend their unbeaten home record in all competitions to six games.  

Nottingham Forest have remained unbeaten at home in the Premier League since late February, while Bournemouth have also gone unbeaten in domestic competitions since the start of the season. The Nottingham Forest manager hopes to secure a victory in the final match to reward the fans and lay a more solid foundation for a stable performance in the 2026/27 season.  

Vitor Pereira said: "The fans deserve a victory to finish the season, and we are fully capable of fighting for it. However, it will not be an easy game because we know Bournemouth's overall performance; they are in very good form this season."  

He stated that the team needs to enjoy the game while maintaining a clear mindset, as their opponents are known for their high-intensity style of play, and Nottingham Forest must be prepared in advance. Vitor Pereira said, "We certainly want to enjoy the game, but we must maintain the right mindset. Their characteristic is a very high intensity of play, and we must be prepared to deal with that intensity."  

The Nottingham Forest manager believes this match is part of the team's long-term development, focusing on improving consistency through sustained performances and laying the foundation for future growth. He said, "We need to show ambition on the pitch and build consistency game by game."
